Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician Profession: Tech Specialty: Sterile Processing Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years License: N/A Certifications: Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Certified Sterile Processing Distribution Technician (CSPDT) Must-Have: - Two (2) years Sterile Processing experience - Certification through IAHCSMM or CBSPD Description: The role of the Sterile Processing Technician is to perform technical duties necessary for the decontamination, processing, sterilization, and distribution of supplies and equipment. This must be done according to established protocols, policies, procedures, and central sterile standards for all patient populations. The technician will work within a team environment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential. Prioritization skills and effective communication are required. Critical thinking and basic computer skills are necessary for the role. The technician will also complete quarterly competencies.
