Position Summary

The role of the Traveling Dental Assistant is pivotal in supporting oral surgeons and facilitating the smooth operation of the clinic. This position demands a proficient and driven individual with a robust foundation in dental assisting, with a preferred emphasis on oral surgery. The right candidate will actively engage with oral surgeons, offering invaluable support during surgical procedures, upholding sterility in the surgical environment, and ensuring unwavering adherence to the highest standards of patient care. This role requires frequent travel, up to 80% of the time.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Travel to our Burlington, Danvers, Newton, North Andover and Quincy offices when coverage is needed.

Assist chairside proficiently during a diverse range of dental surgical procedures.

Prepare, break down, disinfect, and sterilize treatment rooms and instruments to maintain optimal hygiene standards.

Ensure strict compliance with infection control, CDC, OSHA, and HIPAA regulations, guaranteeing a safe and secure environment for both patients and staff.

Capture high-quality radiographic images and maintain meticulous documentation of patient records.

Provide patients with comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative care instructions to enhance their overall experience and recovery.

Maintain accurate and thorough patient charting for effective record-keeping and continuity of care.
