Travelling IT Support Specialist

As a Traveling IT Support Specialist, you will be the boots-on-the-ground technical expert for our remote and regional offices. In this dynamic role, you will install, troubleshoot, and maintain computer hardware, software, and mobile device systems. Beyond hands-on technical repairs, you will train system users, analyze support data to identify trends, and produce accurate summary reports to keep IT projects on track. The ideal candidate is an adaptable problem-solver with a strong working knowledge of modern office technologies, excellent analytical skills, and a readiness to travel to where the team needs them most.

This postion requires 30-50% travel, with frequent travel to other ECC office for IT support.

What you’ll do

  • Provide Hands-On Support: Maintain a daily presence in assigned offices to provide direct, on-site IT support for employees, contractors, and vendors.

  • Manage Ticketing & SLAs: Troubleshoot and resolve end-user issues promptly, managing workflows across multiple ticketing systems while adhering to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

  • Travel the Region: Travel frequently to multiple field offices to provide localized support (role may require occasional overnight or week-long stays).

  • Oversee Office Transitions: Lead the IT implementation for new office setups, manage ongoing hardware maintenance, and execute technical decommissioning for closing offices.

  • Drive Process Improvement: Read, interpret, and analyze support data to identify variances, spot recurring trends, and optimize standard operating procedures.

  • Multitask & Deliver: Manage ongoing IT projects effectively, juggling multiple tasks and adapting to changing priorities.

  • Additional Duties: Perform other technical and administrative duties as assigned.

What you’ll need

  • Education & Experience: A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; OR 4+ years of relevant IT work experience.

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience with office hardware and software, including PCs, tablets, mobile phones, printers/copiers, Microsoft 365, and Google Workspace.

  • Advanced IT Skills: Demonstrated expertise in core IT functions (e.g., hardware deployment, network troubleshooting, mobile device management, and user access provisioning).

  • Physical Capabilities: The ability to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs. And safely climb a ladder for cable management or equipment installation.

  • Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

  • Clearances: Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.
