Description
· Manage the Group's day-to-day liquidity position across legal entities, bank accounts, currencies and jurisdictions.
· Monitor cash balances, liquidity headroom and short-term funding requirements, ensuring sufficient liquidity is available at all times.
· Oversee treasury support for margin calls, settlement funding, collateral movements and other clearing-related liquidity demands.
· Work with Finance team in Kolkata to oversee and review cash, liquidity and treasury reporting, ensuring accuracy, completeness and timely escalation of key issues.
· Oversee daily cash positions and forecasts and support the development of cash flow forecasting, liquidity stress analysis and contingency planning.
· Optimise the use of cash across legal entities, accounts and currencies, within operational and regulatory constraints.
· Manage relationships with banks and other treasury-relevant counterparties, demonstrating strong negotiation and commercial judgement in relation to banking services, account structures and treasury solutions.
· Oversee bank account structures, mandates, signatories, online banking access and administration.
· Oversee the timely completion and review of bank reconciliations and related cash controls, ensuring breaks are identified, investigated and resolved promptly.
· Ensure smooth execution and strong controls over treasury payments, collections and intercompany funding, including user access, approval workflows, segregation of duties and manual bank instructions.
· Maintain and enhance treasury policies, procedures, process documentation and control records.
· Support monitoring of bank counterparty exposure, credit ratings and concentration risk.
· Identify, monitor and support the management of treasury-related financial risk, including FX interest rate, counterparty and liquidity risk and support the implementation or refinement of hedging strategies where appropriate.
· Work with Finance, Risk, Operations, Compliance, Tax and Legal to resolve treasury issues and support cross-functional initiatives. to resolve treasury issues and improve treasury processes and infrastructure.
· Support treasury projects including bank rationalisation, automation, reporting improvement and broader treasury operating model enhancement.
· Monitor compliance with treasury policies, procedures and control requirements and ensure exceptions or control gaps are identified and escalated appropriately.
· Support the CFO on treasury aspects of funding strategy, capital structure and the management of surplus cash or short-term investments, as appropriate.
· Keep abreast of developments in treasury technology, including AI, automation and tokenisation and assess their practical relevance to the business' treasury operating model, controls and market infrastructure
Profile
A successful Treasury professional should have:
· Strong treasury experience in a corporate, financial services or similarly regulated environment.
· Practical experience in liquidity management, cash management, banking, treasury operations and treasury controls.
· Experience managing multiple legal entities, bank accounts and currencies.
· Experience overseeing payment controls, user access governance, approval frameworks and banking administration.
· Strong understanding of treasury policies, procedures and control environments.
· Experience working closely with senior stakeholders and external banking partners.
· Ability to operate in a hands-on role with a high level of ownership and accountability.
· Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across Finance, Risk and Operations.
· Strong negotiation and commercial skills, with experience dealing with banks and external counterparties.
Job Offer
- Salary ranging from £85,000 - £100,000 (pro rata), dependent on the level of experience.
