The candidate will serve as the primary interface with bankers and internal stakeholders, ensuring seamless treasury operations that support the company's growth in a fast-paced e-commerce, retail, or allied environment.
## Responsibilities
- **Banking Operations Ownership**
- Oversee and execute daily banking transactions including vendor payments, marketplace settlements, statutory dues, employee reimbursements, and inter-bank fund movements across multiple bank relationships.
- Maintain strong controls on transaction cut-off timings, dual authorization, and documentation for all treasury payments.
- **Loan Agreements & WCDL Lifecycle Management**
- Lead end-to-end processes for working capital and term loans, including evaluation of term sheets, covenant analysis, and negotiation of loan agreements.
- Manage the complete WCDL (Working Capital Demand Loan) cycle: drawdown requests, utilization tracking, repayment scheduling, interest calculations, limit renewals, and covenant compliance, ensuring zero delays or defaults.
- **SBLC / BG Management**
- Manage issuance, renewal, amendments, and closure of Standby Letters of Credit (SBLC) and other bank guarantees.
- Maintain a comprehensive register of all SBLC/BG instruments, coordinating proactively with banks and business teams on expiry and collateral requirements.
- **Bank Reconciliation (BRS)**
- Own daily and monthly bank reconciliations across all bank accounts, including payment gateways and marketplace accounts.
- Establish workflows for open-item identification and closure, driving a culture of “zero outstanding beyond agreed SLA.”
- **Cash-Flow Forecasting & Fund Planning**
- Develop and maintain short-term (daily/weekly) and medium-term (monthly/quarterly) cash flow models at both entity and group levels.
- Monitor liquidity, anticipate funding gaps, and recommend deployment of surplus funds or drawdowns to optimize interest costs.
- **Accounting & Tally ERP**
- Ensure accurate and timely posting of treasury-related entries in Tally ERP, including journal vouchers, payment vouchers, interest accruals, and period-end adjustments.
- Coordinate with GL, Accounts Payable, and Tax teams for smooth month-end and year-end closing.
- **MIS & Treasury Analytics**
- Design and improve weekly and monthly treasury MIS dashboards covering bank balances, fund positions, payment summaries, WCDL utilization, interest cost trends, covenant status, and variance analysis.
- Provide actionable insights on cost of funds, idle cash, and utilization efficiency, suggesting optimization strategies.
- **Audit Management**
- Lead the preparation of treasury schedules and documentation for internal, statutory, and tax audits.
- Address prior audit observations proactively and implement controls to achieve “nil observations” in subsequent audits.
- **Compliance & Risk Controls**
- Ensure adherence to internal treasury policies, banking covenants, RBI guidelines, and statutory payment timelines (TDS, GST, PF, ESIC).
- Flag potential covenant breaches, documentation lapses, or operational risks early and assist in implementing mitigating actions.
- **Banking & Stakeholder Management**
- Act as the primary interface with banks and financial institutions regarding limits, pricing, documentation, and issue resolution.
- Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Tax, Legal, and Marketplace Finance teams to align cash flow planning with business needs.
- **Process Improvement & Automation**
- Identify bottlenecks in treasury processes and propose technological or process solutions such as Tally automation, bank APIs, or Excel models.
- Lead the implementation of initiatives to reduce manual effort, turnaround time, reconciliation issues, and interest leakage.
## Qualifications
- **Educational Qualifications:** Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting; MBA in Finance, CA (Chartered Accountant), or CMA (Cost and Management Accountant) preferred.
- **Technical Skills:**
- Strong understanding of **corporate banking products** – WCDL, CC/OD, SBLC, BGs, term loans, and trade finance.

- Knowledge of **RBI guidelines** and statutory compliance.
- Familiarity with **banking APIs** and treasury automation tools.
- Ability to lead process improvements and automation initiatives.
## Experience

- Proven track record of managing end-to-end treasury functions independently in a fast-paced environment.
