Treasury Manager

Primary Objective

Support the Bank's fixed income investment research function by providing macroeconomic, credit, and market insights to support investment decisions, portfolio management, and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and mentor analysts in delivering high-quality research and market intelligence.
  • Conduct macroeconomic, industry, and credit research covering Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia.
  • Identify and evaluate fixed income investment opportunities through fundamental and quantitative analysis.
  • Prepare market commentary, economic outlook reports, and investment recommendations for Portfolio Managers and senior management.
  • Monitor economic, political, and market developments and assess their potential impact on investment portfolios.
  • Support business units and client requirements, including stress testing, presentations, and ad hoc research requests.
  • Collaborate with Portfolio Managers, Risk Management, and other stakeholders to support investment strategies and portfolio reviews.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of research processes, data analytics, and investment research capabilities.
  • Undertake business travel and other assignments as required.

Competencies

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Sound knowledge of fixed income markets, credit analysis, and macroeconomics.
  • Proficiency in financial modelling and financial statement analysis.
  • Good communication, presentation, and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure in a team environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in treasury, fixed income research, investment management, banking, or capital markets.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative capabilities, including financial modelling and data analysis.
  • Experience with Bloomberg, Excel, and other financial data platforms.
  • Knowledge of fixed income products, credit analysis, and portfolio management concepts.
  • CFA, FRM, or other relevant professional qualifications would be an added advantage.
  • Strong report-writing, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
