Treasury Settlements Officer
The Treasury Settlements Officer is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operational activities of SEEK's Group Treasury function. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate and timely settlement and confirmation of treasury transactions, liquidity monitoring, and maintenance of key treasury registers and banking relationships.
You will work closely with finance, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll teams to maintain an accurate, real-time view of SEEK's liquidity position. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented finance professional to develop their treasury career within a dynamic, global organisation.
Responsibilities
Settlements & confirmations
- Execute accurate and timely settlement and confirmation of treasury transactions, including derivatives and debt facility trades
- Monitor confirmation receipts and resolve discrepancies directly with counterparties
- Perform daily reconciliations and manage the Treasury inbox, ensuring all trades are captured and up to date
- Coordinate with banks, counterparties, and internal departments to facilitate smooth settlement processes
Liquidity & cash flow management
- Perform daily cash positioning and liquidity monitoring across SEEK ANZ, ensuring accurate reporting of bank account balances
- Support preparation of monthly cash flow forecasts, working closely with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll teams
- Report actual versus forecast variances and assist in identifying key drivers
Bank account & register maintenance
- Maintain and update the bank account register, including managing authorised signatories in line with treasury policy
- Maintain the intercompany loan register and bank guarantee register, ensuring records are accurate and current
- Support management of commitment fees for debt facilities, including tracking and processing fee payments
KYC & banking compliance
- Manage KYC requirements for all banking relationships, coordinating with internal stakeholders to keep documentation current and compliant
- Ensure compliance with bank agreements, regulations, and treasury policy across all transactional banking activities
Audit & reporting support
- Respond to bank confirmation requests and assist in resolving external audit queries
- Support UAT for treasury system changes, upgrades, or new implementations
- Prepare regular reports on cash flow positions and settlement summaries for the Head of Treasury
- One to two years' experience in a treasury back-office, settlements, or financial markets operations role (corporate or bank environment both considered)
- Demonstrated experience settling and confirming financial instruments, including derivatives
- Confident communicator, comfortable initiating calls with bank settlements teams and resolving issues directly
- Strong attention to detail with a proven ability to meet hard, time-sensitive deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with a Treasury Management Systems
- Exposure to KYC processes and transactional banking documentation
