Treatment Coordinator

Job Purpose:

To serve as a liaison between patients and the dental team, ensuring smooth coordination and communication of treatment plans, cost estimates, and follow-up care for both general and orthodontic dentistry. The Treatment Coordinator ensures a seamless, informative, and supportive patient experience from consultation to treatment completion.

Responsibilities:

· Meeting with patients to discuss their orthodontic needs, explaining treatment options, and providing information on treatment plans, timelines, and costs.

· Assisting orthodontists in creating and coordinating treatment plans for patients, including scheduling appointments for diagnostic records, consultations, and treatment procedures.

· Providing estimates and discussing financial options with patients, coordinating financial arrangements, processing insurance claims, and managing patient accounts and payments.

· Serving as a point of contact for patients, answering questions, addressing concerns, and providing ongoing communication and support throughout the course of orthodontic treatment.

· Managing the clinic’s appointment calendar, scheduling and confirming appointments, coordinating with patients and dental staff to ensure smooth patient flow.

· Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, including treatment progress notes, diagnostic records, and correspondence.

· Tracking and documenting patient treatment progress, scheduling progress checks, and coordinating with orthodontists to adjust treatment plans as needed.

· Educating patients and their families about orthodontic care, proper oral hygiene practices, and post-treatment retention instructions.

Requirements:

· 1–2 years prior experience in a dental clinic; orthodontic experience is a plus.

· Experience in customer service or administrative support in healthcare settings.

· Strong understanding of dental and/or orthodontic procedures and treatment planning.

· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

· Detail-oriented and computer literate.
