$20.71 after 6 months of successful performance
$22.25 after 1 year of successful performance

This is a supervisory opportunity in the office of the Clerk of the District Court. Work involves supervising a team of trial court clerks with additional responsibility for the technical and clerical operations. This position requires good leadership as well as administrative skills.

Job Duties:

  • Perform as lead worker in charge of one or more major areas of court process or of a technical processing unit within a major area of one of the largest courts.
  • Plan, assign, and supervise the work of subordinate employees engaged in a variety of activities
  • Responsible for training subordinates.
  • Reviews and issues documents pursuant to judicial orders, processes reciprocal support actions and prepares docket records reflecting pertinent court proceedings for accurate records.
  • Work is performed under the general supervision of a higher-level court clerk or a Clerk of the District Court and is reviewed through conferences, reports, and based on results obtained. Will perform other related work as required or assigned.

Required education and experience:
  • Graduation from high school and three years of clerical experience, including at least one year of court clerical or other legal experience.
  • Skill in the use of personal computers and data entry accuracy

Additional desired abilities:
  • Knowledge of court procedures and policies, legal documents, laws and legal factors pertaining to the court.
  • Ability to make work decisions in accordance with laws, regulations, and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Must work well with the public and have good verbal and written communication skills.
