Tribal Conservation Corps Member
Position Summary:
The Tribal Conservation Corps welcomes Tribal youth from all backgrounds. Once enrolled, expectations are high. Tribal Corps Members emerge from the Tribal Conservation Corps with character, credentials, and commitment. This role provides a life-changing opportunity with specialized training, education, and possible scholarships while earning a paycheck and giving back to the community and the environment.
Qualifications:
- 18-25 years of age, or military veterans up to age 29
- A registered Tribal California member from Tuolumne and surrounding counties (Calaveras County, Stanislaus County, Mariposa County, Alpine County, and Mono County).
- Able to successfully pass fingerprint background checks and drug tests.
- Willing and able to work outdoors in all types of weather and conditions.
- Willing and able to respond to emergencies and be away from home or assigned center for two weeks or longer.
- Willing and able to participate in the Tribal Corps education and training program.
- Military veterans ages 26-29 must have a DD214 with a discharge status of Honorable or General under Honorable Conditions
