Tribe Release & Test Engineer

Division: Group Technology Services (GTS)

We are looking for a Tribe Release & Test Engineer responsible for coordinating Middleware release activities, managing Epic/Feature releases from test to production, and supporting testing activities including IT control coordination and delivery.

You will be part of Group Technology Services, focusing on Continuous Integration and digital workplace roadmap projects.

About the role:

The Tribe Release Engineer (TRE) drives end-to-end the Release to production and is responsible for meeting Release objectives. Besides Release management activities, the TRE is able to consider Testing aspect at a high level in order to support Test Strategy in the Test and Launch formulation.

The Tribe Test Engineer (TTE) defines the Agile Test strategy of the Tribe and supports the Squads in their Testing activities. They define a wide range of quality control tests are defined and conducted to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards and end-user requirements

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and deliver Middleware release activities
• Manage Epic/Feature test and releases activities from test to production
• Drive and support release & testing activities, including IT control coordination and delivery
• Accountable for Agile release & testing strategy (functional and non-functional)
• Ensure quality gates at release and at testing
• Collaborate with other Tribe Test /Release Engineers, PO to manage dependencies
• Coordinate integration testing across squads
• Define environment needs and support squads in testing
• Maintain test automation roadmap and test data governance
• Contribute to problem-solving with a Continuous Integration mindset
• Manage and improve release and service continuity processes
• Plan, prepare, and execute major infrastructure events
• Perform risk assessments and provide clear reporting on release readiness
• Lead and coordinate release events and post-event follow-up
• Develop and maintain IT disaster recovery procedures and documentation
• Report monthly on project test & launch delivery and business continuity activities

Activities:

• Validate features in line with Agile test & launch strategy
• Refine features and define test & release/launch plans
• Extend test coverage and review squad testing results
• Ensure quality gates at story and feature levels
• Report quality status and risks to leadership
• Define and implement automated testing and launch strategy
• Support squads in creating and managing tests independently
• Develop and maintain continuous delivery pipeline
• Test performance against non-functional requirements
• Draft, revise, and approve test plans and scripts
• Create test data files and coordinate user acceptance testing
• Ensure successful system tests and resolve issues
• Manage deployment preparation and execution for Pre-Production and Production

Requirements:

• Solid understanding of the technology stack
• Knowledge of risk-based approach testing
• Experience in release and test management
• Knowledge of TFS, ServiceNow, and Euroclear technical infrastructure
• Affinity with technical testing (NFR validation)
• Extensive knowledge of technical environment
• High analysis capability and developed advisory skills
• Thorough understanding of applications and system development life cycle
