Assembles and upholsters wooden furniture frames by attaching padding and fabric with tools like staple guns, ensuring proper fit and contour while maintaining a clean and safe workspace.
Essential duties and responsibilities
- Safely maneuver furniture frames on work platform
- Tacks cardboard, padding and upholstery material to top, side, and bottom rails of outside arms, fitting and shaping materials to obtain specified contour using staple gun, staple puller, scissors, and regulator
- Responsible for fixing their own repairs
- Maintains neat and orderly workstation.
- Follow all workplace safety standards
- Performs other duties as required by supervisor.
