Troop Support Planner

Serves as a DLA Troop Support Planner and coordinates with and advises supported Combatant Commands, Major Commands, and other DoD component and agencies.

Provides authoritative advice and technical guidance to direct the design, development, execution and promulgation of operational and contingency plans for worldwide support in the assigned Theater of Operation.

Evaluates theater/contingency operational plans and assesses DLA Troop Support's supporting tasks and missions through day-to-day analysis and periodic testing during JCS and Combatant Command sponsored exercises.

Resolves operation plan shortfalls, limitations and other conditions that impact on DLA's ability to perform its wartime logistics support mission.

Continually monitors Agency planning initiatives and new initiatives in order to provide information for use by Combatant Command, DLA senior managers, support staff, and the Military Services.

Continually monitors Agency planning initiatives and new initiatives in order to provide information for use by Federal Civilian Agencies, Foreign Allies, the Joint Staff and other DoD officials.

Determines the need for special reports to keep superiors current on all major doctrinal developments within the Combatant Commander's theater of operation.

Advises senior DLA officials of any Combatant Command support issues that impact on the Agency.
