Summit Bodyworks, a premier builder of tool trucks, mobile libraries, moving trucks and other specialty vehicles has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Truck Body Assembler. Every truck we build is customized from the chassis up; we build our vehicles to suit the needs and desires of our diverse customer base, from fortune 100 companies to independent owner operators. Our Truck Body Assemblers are responsible for the assembly of a multitude of components as well as completed truck bodies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ability to read blueprints and understand instructions.
• Cut wood or metals to specific sizes using a variety of saws, shears and cutters.
• Assemble components of the box (Roof, Walls, Nose, Deck, Understructure, Lining, etc.) per blueprint locations.
• Assemble components to make a finished box, this includes sealing the box and installing various types of doors.
• Mount the finished box onto one of the various vehicle systems.
• Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets or fasteners.
• Operate pneumatic tools and hand tools.
• Examine finished project for quality and defects.
• Perform safety and quality checks.
• Other duties as assigned.
