What You'll Do as a Truck Body Welding & Assembly Technician
- Assemble aluminum truck bodies and subassemblies for custom and standard truck body applications.
- Weld aluminum components using pulsed MIG welding techniques to create strong, high-quality assemblies.
- Install hardware and mechanical fasteners using hand tools and other equipment.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings to accurately build and assemble truck body components.
- Measure and fit components using measuring tools and basic math to ensure proper alignment and assembly.
- Operate production machinery, equipment, and overhead cranes safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while meeting quality and craftsmanship standards.
Our Ideal Truck Body Welding & Assembly Technician
- Experienced Aluminum MIG Welder: At least 1 year of pulsed aluminum MIG welding experience; aluminum TIG welding skills are a plus.
- Mechanically Skilled: Confident using hand tools and metalworking equipment to assemble and fabricate aluminum components.
- Accurate & Detail-Oriented: Able to read engineering drawings, take precise measurements, and use basic math to produce quality work.
- Technically Capable: Comfortable using basic computer applications and learning to operate production machinery and equipment.
- Safety-Conscious: Committed to safe work practices and physically capable of performing hands-on welding and assembly tasks.
- Team-Oriented & Dependable: Take initiative, work hard, respect your teammates, and share our commitment to quality craftsmanship.
