TRUCK DRIVER - LEXINGTON, KY

POSITION TITLE: TRUCK DRIVER
The Truck Driver delivers finished goods to Harbor Steel customers.

POSITION REPORTS TO: Site Specific (Plant Superintendent and/or Shift Supervisor)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Deliver finished goods to customers
 Perform pre-trip inspections
 Comply with DOT regulations
 Keep an electronic log as required
 Check truck before departure to cross reference bill of lading to loaded material
 Strap and tarp loads
 Interact positively with customers as the “face of Harbor Steel”
 Understand and comply with the Harbor Transportation unloading procedures both at
Harbor Steel and customer facility
 Perform additional duties as assigned
 Keep truck clean of all debris

QUALIFICATIONS:
 Possession of valid driver’s license and appropriate class CDL
 Ability to comply with DOT regulations
 Ability to lift 50 lbs.
 Certified to operate a crane and a forklift
 Ability to keep a logbook if required
 Basic math skills
 High school diploma, training, and/or equivalent experience

REQUIRED PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:
 Steel-toe safety shoes
 Safety Glasses
 Gloves
 Hard hat while loading

OTHER RELATED JOB REQUIREMENTS:
 Ability to work shifts mandated by management
 Ability to pass drug test
 Ability to pass DOT physical examination
