Looking for a CDL job that gets you home every night? Harbor Steel is hiring a dependable, safety-conscious Class A CDL Shuttle Truck Driver to run a dedicated shuttle route between our Bowling Green and Lexington, Kentucky, operations approximately 2–3 times per week.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced driver who wants consistent local work, predictable routes, and no overnight travel.
Interested in working full-time? When shuttle runs aren't scheduled, additional hours may be available through local deliveries or Material Handler work in our warehouse.

What You'll Do
As a Shuttle Truck Driver, you'll safely transport long steel products and skidded materials between our Bowling Green and Lexington operations.
Responsibilities include:
- Safely operating a 53-foot flatbed truck on the assigned shuttle route
- Transporting steel products and skidded materials between facilities
- Safely tarping and untarping flatbed loads
- Properly securing loads to ensure safe transportation
- Following assigned routes and delivery schedules
- Completing routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Identifying and reporting mechanical issues or safety concerns
- Complying with applicable traffic laws, DOT requirements, and company safety procedures
- Providing professional, courteous service at pickup and delivery locations
Full-Time Opportunity: More Than Just Driving
Looking for steady, full-time employment? When shuttle deliveries aren't scheduled, full-time drivers may have opportunities to supplement their hours by assisting with local deliveries or working as a Material Handler in our warehouse.
Material Handler responsibilities may include:
- Pulling customer orders accurately
- Identifying and handling steel products
- Tagging, packaging, and preparing finished products for shipment
- Supporting daily warehouse operations as needed
This flexible arrangement offers the opportunity to combine local driving with hands-on warehouse work while maintaining a home-every-night schedule.

Required qualifications:
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with no driving restrictions
- Ability and willingness to operate a manual-transmission vehicle
- Safe driving record
- Ability to safely tarp, untarp, and secure flatbed loads
- Dependable, safety-focused work habits
- Professional attitude and strong customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with route driving and freight delivery
- Ability to identify steel products
- Familiarity with tape measures and calipers
- Experience handling steel, metal products, or industrial materials
