Truck Loader/Shuttle Driver
Sheehan Brothers Vending is seeking a reliable and safety-oriented Truck Loader/Shuttle Driver to join our logistics team. This role will be responsible for loading products onto route trucks, ensuring that all items are handled safely and efficiently and may involve transporting company products between our main facility and our branch in Kentucky as needed. The ideal candidate prioritizes safety, maintains a positive and professional demeanor, and has a proven record of excellent attendance.
Reports to: The Warehouse Manager
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Load products appropriately on route trucks for delivery daily ensuring they are safely loaded and strapped down.
- Assist in building pallets with product prior to moving on to the dock for loading.
- Pick a variety of items from warehouse for orders using a ‘Pick by Light’ computer system.
- Work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Fill in positions in the Warehouse as needed.
- Mop/clean trucks and or dock as spills happen.
- Keep work area clean.
Shuttle Driver Responsibilities:
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport products to and from the Kentucky branch daily as needed per staffing requirements.
- Maintain a clean and well-functioning vehicle by performing regular daily inspections.
- Clean the vehicle out when returning to the branch. (Including mopping if needed)
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
- Manage schedules effectively to ensure timely arrivals and departures.
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport products to and from the Kentucky branch on a scheduled basis.
- Unload the products once at the KY Branch. Loading up and products for return.
- Pick up any Administrative items coming back from the KY Branch.
- Before running the shuttle and after returning (if time allows), perform tasks in the warehouse that are needed. (Picking products, loading trucks etc.)
- Must be able to pass a DOT Physical, Drug Screen and Background Check
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- All other duties as assigned
