About the Company:
The company specialises in mechanically repairs, inspections and maintenance of a variety of trucks including European, Japanese and American brands. They offer state-of-the art technology for diagnosing issues in order to implement accurate solutions.
About the Position:
In this position, you will be required to work autonomously between the hours of 2:00pm to 12:00am, where you will be performing routine maintenance on trucks to ensure optimal vehicle operations. You will be required to inspect various parts of the trucks, including brake systems, wheel bearings and steering mechanisms to ensure they are in the correct condition to operate effectively.
- Use of pressure gauges, pneumatic wrenches, welding equipment, screwdrivers, hoists and jacks to repair trucks while utilising safety precautions.
- Diagnose malfunctions in defective equipment by inspecting and testing using devises such as engine analysers and chassis charts to determine how to address the issues.
- Ensure parts conform to factory specifications by inspecting and verifying clearances and dimensions.
Job Skills & Qualifications:
- Trade qualification with a minimum of 2 years of experience (Post trade) as a diesel mechanic.
- Experience working on European, Japanese and American trucks.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Experience working with diagnostic computers.
