What You’ll Do
As a Truck Shop Assistant, you’ll help keep our maintenance facility running efficiently by supporting our technicians, parts department, and daily shop operations.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized shop environment
- Follow all company safety procedures and immediately report any hazards
- Assist the parts department with receiving, stocking, organizing, and inventory management
- Test, inspect, and track product delivery hoses
- Perform daily yard inspections and report any issues
- Pick up parts and shuttle vehicles as needed
- Learn and utilize the company’s electronic maintenance (ELOG) system
- Maintain the cleanliness of shop grounds and facility
- Operate a forklift safely (training available if needed)
- Assist with snow removal during winter months
- Support spill response efforts at company or customer locations when required
- Work closely with technicians and management to promote a positive team environment
- Perform other shop and facility duties as assigned
Requirements

- Ability to work independently and stay organized
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Willingness to learn and grow within the company
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to perform physical labor throughout the workday
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous maintenance or shop experience
- Forklift experience
- Basic hand tool knowledge
- Experience working around commercial trucks or heavy equipment is a plus
