Trust Manager
Trident Trust is a leading independent provider of fund, corporate and trust services to the financial services sector worldwide, employing over 1,000 staff across a global footprint that spans Africa, Americas, Asia, Caribbean, Europe, and the Middle East.
We are seeking a candidate to lead a trust team in ensuring excellent services to a portfolio of diverse clients ensuring regulatory compliance for both private and commercial trust engagements in adherence to policies and procedures, to recommend and implement improvements in processes and procedures to ensure that the Company provides first in class services and to contribute to revenue growth and recommend and help develop product offerings for clients.
The Role
The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of Corporate and Trusts in the Cayman office as well as having reporting duties to APAC office team heads, to deliver industry leading products and services to our personal and corporate trust structures.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide proactive leadership and oversight of the trust team, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality, professional services to clients, intermediaries, and advisors.
- Manage the financial performance of the team’s portfolio, including oversight of billing cycles, fee collection, debtor management, and achievement of revenue targets.
- Ensure robust corporate governance standards are maintained across all client structures, with full adherence to applicable legal, regulatory, tax, and statutory obligations.
- Oversee the administration and periodic review of complex trust and corporate structures, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance at all times.
- Respond to new business enquiries in a timely and professional manner, assessing opportunities, managing expectations, and preparing accurate and commercially sound fee proposals.
- Actively contribute to business development initiatives, identifying opportunities to grow the business and strengthen the firm’s market presence.
- Lead, mentor, and develop team members through effective coaching, training, and performance management to support both individual growth and overall team capability.
- Liaise with Trident offices in the Caribbean, HK and Asia-Pacific on cross-functional trust appointments, regulatory matters, and systems and IT development on as-needed basis.
- Oversee resource planning and workflow management within the team to ensure optimal productivity and service delivery.
- Actively participate in policy and procedure development and enhancement to strengthen operational and compliance frameworks.
- Drive system adoption and process efficiencies.
- Support senior management with strategic initiatives, reporting, and operational improvements as required.
- Undertake any additional duties as may be reasonably required by senior management from time to time.
Experience & Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of 7 years experience in direct commercial and private client experience, liaising with clients, intermediaries, regulators and other professionals to ensure compliance of the Trust portfolio.
- STEP Qualification.
- Degree in Law (preferred) or related field.
- In-depth knowledge of both private and commercial trust structures and company administration.
- Thorough understanding of the Cayman Islands Law and Regulations.
- Demonstrate experience of successfully managing a team and meeting billing/cash collection targets and deadlines.

Compensation
Competitive salary and other benefits will be offered. Salary is up to US$150,000.
