General Job Summary:

In addition to performing laser operation, ensures jobs are set-up to meet MPCD/customer requirements.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Understands and follows all applicable safety policies and procedures.
  • With Manufacturing Supervisor, schedule daily/weekly workload.
  • Download part program into machine controller.
  • Ability to perform adjustments of the tube laser to remedy slag, burn through, burrs, and un-desirable conditions.
  • Utilizes hand instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gage) to perform first piece/blue tag inspections.
  • Obtains inspection approval for each job.
  • Works with Engineering to resolve problems and production issues.
  • Train new Associates on equipment operation, department processes and procedures.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic errors with the operation of the tube laser.
  • May be required to work/assist Maintenance with issues outside of basic errors/issues.
  • Ability to successfully load material and record production in Plex.
