U Closing Machine Operator

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. ​​​​​​Starts and stops the closing machine, as required, to ensure continuity of operation.
2. Feeds lids into magazine of the capper and inspects the lids when necessary.
3. Checks for properly filled and sealed containers.
4. Responsible for physically lifting up to 40 pounds, as required.
5. Keeps area clean and in accordance with good manufacturing/housekeeping practices.
6. Adheres to common safety practices and rules including the wearing of protective clothing and equipment as required.
7. Responsible for reporting any safety concerns immediately.
8. Adheres to plant hygiene standards to ensure high product integrity.
9. Should not leave work area unless given permission by Supervisor and/or Lead.
10. Responsible for execution of food safety, legality and quality policies and procedures within the scope of the job responsibilities such as but not limited to: GMP’s, HACCP, safety, product quality, food security, plant security, etc.
11. Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor and/or Lead person.
