UA Operations Specialist
The UA Operations Specialist plans and executes unmanned aircraft missions across a multi-platform fleet, supporting a range of client and internal projects. The role combines hands-on flight operations with mission planning, regulatory compliance, and technical support.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute UA flight missions across various project requirements, ensuring operational safety and effectiveness.
- Conduct pre-flight risk assessments and inspections in accordance with CAAS regulations and Fly-it-Safe practices.
- Prepare and submit permit and authorisation applications required for operations.
- Operate UA and onboard sensors for aerial 3D mapping, photogrammetry, and façade inspection assignments.
- Support systems testing and flight testing of new and in-house developed platforms, payloads, and firmware.
- Process and deliver captured data for reporting purposes.
- Maintain accurate flight logs, operational records, and mission documentation.
- Perform routine maintenance, firmware updates, and troubleshooting to ensure fleet serviceability.
- Respond to in-flight emergencies and equipment malfunctions safely and effectively.
