UG Mobile Maintenance Shift Coordinator

About the Role:

The Mobile Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all maintenance activities related to mobile equipment and vehicles within the organization. This role ensures that all mobile assets are maintained in optimal working condition to support operational efficiency and safety standards. The supervisor will lead a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance management to achieve timely and effective repairs. They will also develop and implement maintenance schedules, monitor compliance with safety regulations, and manage maintenance budgets. Ultimately, this position plays a critical role in minimizing downtime and extending the lifespan of mobile equipment, directly contributing to the organization's productivity and cost control.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in mechanical or automotive maintenance preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in mobile equipment or vehicle maintenance, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems related to mobile equipment.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards applicable to mobile maintenance.
• Proficiency in using maintenance management software and basic computer applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or related field.
• Certification in equipment maintenance or fleet management (e.g., ASE certification).
• Experience with budgeting and inventory management for maintenance operations.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in team development and conflict resolution.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations related to equipment maintenance and disposal.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance operations for all mobile equipment and vehicles.
• Develop, implement, and monitor preventive maintenance schedules to ensure equipment reliability.
• Lead, train, and evaluate maintenance technicians to maintain high performance and safety standards.
• Manage maintenance budgets, including parts procurement and labor costs, to optimize resource allocation.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies related to mobile equipment maintenance.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and oversee repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and prepare reports on equipment status and maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with other departments to schedule maintenance activities with minimal disruption to operations.
