Work Location: hybrid

Responsible for creating and ensuring the visual and interactive design of user interfaces for digital products such as websites, mobile applications, and software applications. The goal of a UI designer is to create intuitive, user-friendly, and visually appealing interfaces that enhance the user experience.

Activities

  • Create high-quality visual assets, including illustrations, icons, and graphics.
  • Develop and maintain design systems in collaboration with UX designers to ensure brand consistency.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand project requirements.
  • Apply advanced typography, color theory, and design techniques.
  • Mentor junior team members and provide design guidance.
  • Work closely with senior team members to understand and synchronize design strategy.
  • Incorporate user-centered design principles to enhance visual experiences.
  • Stay abreast of design trends, methodologies, and best practices for user interface design (usability and accessibility).
  • Be proficient using design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, etc.), Figma and productivity tools such as Office 360.
  • Participate in design critiques and contribute to design strategy discussions.
  • Knowledge of animation and video editing would be an asset.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or training in Visual Design, UX/Ui Design, Interaction Design or related.
  • Knowledge of Design Methodologies (Design Thinking, Human Centered Design).
  • Knowledge of design and/or animation tools (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Certifications in UX/UI, animation or related is a plus.
  • Certifications in experience or interface design methodologies are a plus.
