UI/UX Designer Associate
Salary: ₱25,000 – ₱30,000 per month
About the role:
The UI/UX Designer Associate supports the design of intuitive, accessible and on-brand digital interfaces. This is the entry point into the UI/UX track. The role is structured for supervised production and rapid skill acquisition: the Associate delivers defined components and screens under the direction of a Specialist or Lead, and builds the craft foundation required to progress to Specialist.
Key responsibilities:
Produce wireframes, user flows, screen designs and interactive prototypes for assigned pages and components, working from a brief issued by the Specialist or Lead.
Apply the project design system — tokens, components, states — without introducing undocumented variants.
Build the full required state set for every component assigned: default, hover, focus, active, disabled, loading, empty and error.
Prepare responsive variants at the standard breakpoints defined in PLAN-02.
Assist in usability test sessions: recruit scheduling, note-taking, session recording and observation logging.
Compile research findings into the format prescribed by the Specialist or Lead.
Conduct assigned competitive and pattern reviews and present findings in a structured summary.
Maintain file naming, folder placement and version numbering in full compliance with PLAN-03.
Keep annotation layers, spacing notes and component descriptions current on every file submitted for review.
Attend design reviews, take structured notes and log agreed changes in the PLAN-12 Changes Applied Log.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in User Experience Design, Interaction Design, Multimedia Arts, Graphic Design, Information Technology or a related field; or an equivalent combination of vocational training, certification and demonstrable portfolio experience.
One (1) to two (2) years of professional, internship or freelance experience in interface or digital design.
A portfolio showing at least three (3) pieces of interface work, including wireframes or user flows alongside finished screens.
Working knowledge of Figma, including frames, auto layout, components and shared libraries.
Understanding of core UI/UX concepts: wireframing, user flows, navigation patterns, responsive grids and basic usability heuristics.
Familiarity with type scale, spacing systems and colour contrast.
Ability to follow a design system and an existing brand guideline without improvising.
Clear written and verbal English for design notes, annotations and team updates.
Receptiveness to structured critique and the discipline to apply feedback without repeat correction.
