Ravenue develops AI-assisted ecommerce products and digital experiences that help teams manage their shops, marketing and operations.

About the role

We are seeking a UI/UX Designer to turn user needs and business requirements into clear, usable ecommerce experiences. The role covers user research, user journeys, interaction and visual design, prototyping, usability testing and developer handover.

Initial assignments include client Shopify experiences, followed by Ravenue product interfaces. You will use Claude Design and other approved AI-assisted tools, while remaining responsible for the quality and usability of the designs.

Responsibilities

• Gather user and stakeholder needs through interviews, observation, feedback and relevant analytics.
• Define design problems, requirements and success measures with stakeholders.
• Create user journeys, task flows, wireframes and interactive prototypes.
• Design responsive interfaces, reusable components and interaction states consistent with approved brands.
• Conduct usability checks and refine designs using evidence and feedback.
• Consider readability, accessibility, navigation and form behaviour.
• Work with developers on technical feasibility, Shopify constraints, design specifications and handover.
• Review implemented designs across desktop and mobile, and help resolve design defects.
• Document research, design decisions and testing results, and develop UI/UX skills through structured practice and supervisor feedback.

Requirements

• Genuine interest in user-centred design and ecommerce experiences.
• Willingness to develop skills in research, interaction design, visual design, prototyping and usability testing.
• Analytical thinking, attention to detail and openness to feedback.
• Ability to explain design decisions and collaborate with clients, developers and other stakeholders.
• Responsible use of AI tools, confidential information and licensed assets.
• Familiarity with Shopify, design/prototyping tools or AI-assisted workflows is helpful.
• Transferable experience in data analysis or AI is welcome. The role’s primary responsibility is UI/UX design, not ML model development.
