Job Summary: UI/UX Software Engineer is an engineering role focused on supporting the design, development, and improvement of new and existing products or product lines. This position plays a key role in defining how users interact with the digital systems aboard our next-generation boats. Responsibilities include design and implement intuitive, visually compelling, and high-performance user interfaces for embedded displays that control and enhance the boating experience. This role requires collaborating closely with mechanical and electrical engineers as well as industrial designers to bring new digital experiences from concept to production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop user interfaces for embedded displays that control boat functions such as surf systems, audio, ballast, lighting, and navigation.
- Prototype, test, and refine UI/UX concepts by using environments like Crank Storyboard, Qt, or proprietary embedded display tools.
- Implement production-ready code for embedded systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in industrial design, mechanical, and electrical to ensure seamless hardware and software integration.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies in HMI, mobile, and IoT systems relevant to the marine and automotive industries.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
