POSITION SUMMARY:
MARSHALLTOWN U.S.A. LTD is seeking a field-based Regional Sales Manager to develop and grow sales across an assigned U.K. territory [e.g., North; Midlands & Wales; South & London; Scotland]. This position is responsible for managing and expanding distribution through builders’ merchants, tool distributors, buying groups, and independent retailers, and for driving pull-through demand with trade end users. The role combines account management of regional accounts with new-business development, in-branch merchandising, product training, and demonstrations. The Regional Sales Manager should have a “customer first” mentality while delivering on company sales objectives, profitability goals, and striving to optimize efficiencies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Manage and grow sales across an assigned geographic territory through merchants, distributors, buying-group members, and independent retailers.
- Identify and open new accounts; expand range and distribution at existing accounts.
- Build relationships at branch and regional-buyer level and deliver product training and demonstrations to counter staff and end users.
- Drive pull-through demand with trade end users (e.g., plasterers, tilers, bricklayers, concrete and finishing trades).
- Execute promotional, merchandising, and point-of-sale programs in branch.
- Support national account activity locally where multiples have regional branches.
- Provide market intelligence on competitors, pricing, and demand trends.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline, and territory reporting.
- Collaborate with MARSHALLTOWN U.K. operations on forecasting and inventory availability.
- Other duties and project work as assigned.
