Your key responsibilities\n

  • Designing and building scalable data pipelines using Databricks and cloud-native tools
  • \n
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver tailored solutions
  • \n
  • Transforming raw data into clean, structured formats ready for analysis and reporting
  • \n
  • Implementing best practices in data governance, quality, and security
  • \n
  • Troubleshooting and optimising data workflows for performance and reliability
  • \n
  • Supporting clients through their data transformation journeys with a consultative mindset
  • \n
Skills and attributes for success\n
    \n
  • A third level qualification in Computer Science, Mathematics or a related discipline, or relevant experience related to the position
  • \n
  • Proven experience working in a client-facing consulting environment, with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations, navigate complex requirements, and deliver tailored solutions across diverse industries.
  • \n
  • 5+ years' experience working with Databricks, including Spark and Delta Lake
  • \n
  • Strong skills in Python and/or Scala for data engineering tasks
  • \n
  • Comfortable working with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud
  • \n
  • A problem-solving mindset and the ability to simplify complex data challenges
  • \n
  • Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences
  • \n
Additional qualifications (ideal)\n
    \n
  • Familiarity with CI/CD practices and infrastructure-as-code tools
  • \n
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and modern data architecture patterns
  • \n
  • Professional certification in Databricks
  • \n
