Position Summary

The Ultrasound Technologist (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) is responsible for operating the sonographic scanner to produce images of patients internal organs.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for explaining the procedure to the patient and answer in questions regarding the process.
  • Operates the sonographic scanner to perform detailed sonographic evaluations of abdomen, pelvis and small parts; also perform vascular exams.
  • Evaluate the images for quality, but also interpret what was captured in the image.
  • Assist Radiologist in interventional ultrasound procedures.
  • Present images and preliminary findings to the physician for review.
  • Maintains the sonographic equipment in good operating order. Cleans and maintains the sonographic scanner room.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned.

Compensation starts at $29.03 per hour, with the final hourly rate determined by the candidate's relevant experience and qualifications.
