Job Summary:
The Ultrasound Intern is under the direction of an Ultrasound Technologist who assists the Ultrasound Technologist with direct and indirect clerical and patient care responsibilities involved in performance of ultrasonic diagnostic procedures, e.g. vascular, abdominal and pelvic sonograms, for patients as ordered. May perform other administrative and clinical duties as needed for the needs of the department and/or organization.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Currently enrolled in an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program.
- Minimum of one semester formal Ultrasound education that includes at least one semester of clinical Ultrasound experience.
- Must become ARDMS registered within 12 months of date of hire.
- Preferred ARDMS registered in OB/GYN or Breast within 24 months of date of hire.
- Must be CPR certified.
