Job Type: Full Time
Up to $20,000 SOB for qualified candidates, paid over 24 months.
The Ultrasound Tech operates mammography and bone density equipment to perform a variety of imaging procedures as indicated by protocol. Attends to direct and indirect patient care needs. Prepares rooms, supplies and equipment for patient and physician needs. Assists radiologist with mammographic procedures. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
- Performs a variety of diagnostic mammography procedures.
- Assists radiologist in performing needle localizations.
- Assures correct patient information on requests and reports.
- Organizes work area and maintains supplies.
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited program for Radiologic Technologists
Licenses, Certifications:
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Certified by ARRT in Mammography within one year of orientation/on-boarding.
- Licensed Registered Radiologic Technologists, State of Florida (HRS)
- Current CPR (BCLS) certification
Minimum Experience:
Required licensure to begin orientation to Mammography:
- RT (R) – Radiologic Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist.
- Candidates for mammography certification and registration must document at least 16 hours of structured education as prescribed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologist. (Review ARRT for Structured Education Requirements).
- Candidate must meet initial MQSA requirements for the radiologic technologist including, among other provisions, completion of 25 supervised mammograms. Documentation of completion is required by the FDA and must be verified via the online tool.
- Candidate must be willing and able to obtain mammography certification and registration within one year of orientation/onboarding.
Preferred -One year experience as a Radiologic Technologist/Mammographer.
