ASSIGNMENT OVERVIEW
Security Alliance is currently seeking highly professional, dependable, and experienced Level II Security Officers for a temporary high-visibility security assignment at the University of Miami, Coral Gables Campus. This assignment requires officers capable of operating in a professional campus environment while maintaining strict security protocols and clear communication with the University of Miami Police Department (UMPD), authorized personnel, vendors, and staff. Officers must maintain a professional appearance, excellent situational awareness, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Valid Florida Class “D” Security License
- Level II qualification preferred
- Previous security experience required
- Strong communication and report writing skills
- Must be fluent in English
- Ability to communicate clearly via radio with UMPD and supervisory staff
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Flexible availability including weekends, overnights, and holidays
- Clean background check and drug screening required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior campus, law enforcement, military, or high-visibility, 2-year security experience
- Experience with access control operations
- Leadership or rover experience preferred for exterior rover positions
- Emergency Response Team (ERT) experience strongly preferred
