Unarmed Security Officer

Join the Chesley Brown International team and help protect one of Nashville’s most dynamic destinations — a luxury mixed-use riverfront property in the Germantown district. We’re seeking professional, alert, and dependable Unarmed Security Officers who take pride in creating a safe, welcoming, and polished environment for customers and guests.

You’ll serve as the face of the property, combining situational awareness with exceptional customer service to uphold the highest standards of safety and hospitality.

What You’ll Do

• Monitor and authorize access for employees, contractors, and visitors to ensure secure entry and exit.
• Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols on foot and/or by company cart to maintain visibility and deter unwanted activity.
• Stay alert to and promptly report any suspicious behavior, safety hazards, or policy violations.
• Write clear, detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, and observations.
• Maintain open communication with property management, law enforcement, and your security leadership team.
• Monitor CCTV, alarm systems, and other security technologies.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and act as a professional, approachable presence at all times.
• Enforce site-specific policies respectfully and consistently.
• Respond calmly and effectively to emergencies, coordinating as needed with outside agencies.
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Valid State Security License preferred (training support available for qualified candidates).
• Must successfully pass drug screening and background check.
• Capable of standing, walking, and remaining alert for extended periods; able to work both indoor and outdoor posts.
• Reliable and punctual — must demonstrate strong teamwork by being on time, dependable, and committed to maintaining consistent attendance.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with professional demeanor and tact.
• Excellent observation skills and attention to detail.
• Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Flexible to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Prior experience in security, hospitality, or customer-facing roles is strongly preferred.
