Steadfast Security, Inc. is hiring dependable, confident, and professional Unarmed Security Officers for an active retail shopping center in San Fernando, California.

This is an active security position requiring continuous patrols, strong communication skills, and the ability to professionally address challenging situations.

The property experiences frequent pedestrian activity, loitering, trespassing concerns, and situations requiring officers to take appropriate action while maintaining safety and professionalism.

We are seeking officers who are comfortable working in a busy retail environment, maintaining a visible security presence, and confidently addressing property-rule violations within their authority.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct continuous foot patrols throughout the shopping center.
• Maintain a strong, visible, and professional security presence.
• Address loitering, trespassing, and unauthorized activity through appropriate verbal communication.
• Professionally request that unauthorized individuals leave the property when permitted by site procedures.
• Use sound judgment and verbal de-escalation during challenging interactions.
• Notify Dispatch, supervisors, and law enforcement when necessary.
• Complete accurate hourly electronic activity and incident reports.
• Follow company policies, post orders, and established safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Active California BSIS Guard Card required.
• Previous retail, shopping center, or high-activity security experience strongly preferred.
• Confident, professional, and capable of handling challenging interactions.
• Strong verbal communication and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
• Reliable attendance and dependable transportation.
• Ability to perform active patrol duties, with reasonable accommodation where applicable.
