Position Available: Security Site Supervisor - 1st Shift
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:30am to 2:30pm at Chippewa Valley Schools in Clinton Township, MI
Position does include some required overtime.
Wage: $19.50/hour

Primary Responsibilities:
- Supervise security team across the whole school district
- Coordinates activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing the work of subordinate employees.
- Evaluates and verifies employee performance through the review of completed work assignments and work techniques.
- Conduct ALICE training as needed for required staff
- Participate in the development and writing of district-wide security policies and procedures
- Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry
- Unlock buildings/doors after checking identification and compliance with policies
- Observe activity and traffic in assigned area to enforce rules/regulations; alert visitors of infractions
- Assist any persons in building or on grounds needing directions or information
- Prevent losses or damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers
- Complete reports by recording observations and information, occurrences and surveillance activities; submit reports to Director of Security as necessary
- Respond to alarms and/or dispatched calls
- Assist law enforcement officers with crowd control if needed
Position Requirements:
- 2 years previous supervisory experience
- Surveillance Skills, Incumbent must be able to view and turn head continuously throughout day.
- Deals with Uncertainty, ability to make objective judgment calls.
- Must have emotional control and deliver communication with integrity and respect toward others.
- Lift up to 40 pounds, and climb stairs.
- Bend, squat, twist, and turn multiple times during your shift, and be on your feet for up to 10 hours per day.
- Read, write, follow direction, and communicate clearly in English.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Any other duties assigned.
