Core Lithium Ltd is building its underground capability at BP33, offering a unique opportunity to be involved from early development through to steady-state production. This is a long-term opportunity for underground professionals seeking both technical challenge and lifestyle balance.
Located just past Berry Springs, 88km south of Darwin, these roles offer a residential drive-in, drive-out lifestyle, residential opportunities, with flexibility to live in the city, suburbs, or surrounding rural areas — all while being home every night.
This is a permanent full-time opportunity with relocation support available for individuals and families.
About the Opportunities
You will support underground production activities including drill and blast design, scheduling, and performance optimisation.
While some candidates may have the opportunity to support open pit activities initially, these roles are permanent underground-focused positions.
Key Responsibilities
- Support underground development activities, including decline and level development
- Develop and optimise drill and blast designs for development and stoping
- Prepare and maintain short-term and medium-term production schedules
- Coordinate daily production activities across development, stoping, and services
- Monitor and report on production performance, cycle times, and compliance to plan
- Work closely with contractors to ensure safe and efficient execution of mining activities
- Assist with the transition from open pit operations into underground mining
- Contribute to ventilation, services, and mine infrastructure planning as development progresses
- Support stope design, sequencing, and optimisation as production ramps up
- Analyse data and drive continuous improvement initiatives across production
- Ensure alignment with safety, environmental, and operational standards
- Collaborate with geology, geotechnical, and planning teams to optimise outcomes
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline
- Hard rock underground mining experience essential
- Engineers: 18 months+ post-graduate underground experience
- Senior Engineers: 6–8+ years underground experience
- Experience in drill and blast, production planning, and optimisation
- Open pit exposure advantageous but not essential
- Strong operational and problem-solving mindset
About Core Lithium
Core Lithium is an ASX-listed resources company focused on the restart of the Finniss Operation near Darwin in the Northern Territory. With open pit mining at the Grants deposit targeted to recommence in May 2026, feeding the site’s existing lithium processing plant, and underground development at BP33 planned later in the year, the operation is entering an important new phase of production.
As part of this restart, Core Lithium is undertaking a significant recruitment campaign to rebuild the operational workforce across mining and processing. We are seeking expressions of interest from individuals who are Darwin-based or interested in relocating to the Northern Territory to join the operation on a residential drive-in/drive-out rosters, with relocation assistance available for suitable candidates.
