Underground Surveyor

You will provide the Waihi Underground Mine with adequate survey services to ensure daily operational requirements are met. This involves ensuring survey standards are maintained, and tasks are completed accurately and safely.
Key responsibilities:
- Install and maintain laser alignment systems for development.
- Ensure that all work is undertaken safely, in line with processes and procedures.
- Issue mining instructions for the jumbo operators.
- Complete regular survey pickups of the constructed underground workings.
- Conduct regular set-out tasks and markups.
- Complete scans of production and historic voids.
- Maintain and extend survey control points ensuring the highest possible accuracy for the mine.
- Maintain a high standard of communications between all the departments associated with the underground mine.
- Ensure tasks are planned and scheduled to achieve the best possible outcome for the team and the operation.
- Ensure all required survey records and datasets are maintained and kept updated.
- Provide support and training to others within the team when and as required.
Tertiary Qualification in Surveying or Demonstrated Surveying Experience
Full and Current Driver Licence, with ability to drive Manual Vehicles.
Previous survey experience in an underground mine or similar environment.
Experience with surveying software, Deswik and Surpac preferred.
