Underwriting Branch Specialist Engineering
Description
Do you have experience assessing CAR/EAR risks and want to apply your technical knowledge to challenging construction and engineering projects? Then this position as Branch Specialist Technical Insurance at Allianz is for you.
What will you do?
As a Branch Specialist Technical Insurance, you assess and accept risks for technical and construction projects. A key focus lies on CAR insurance (Construction All Risk). You will deal with a wide range of risks, for example in residential construction and civil engineering. Prevention plays an important role in this.
You work with a variety of clients, from municipalities to large construction companies with a turnover of up to €500 million. Many of these risks are insured through co-insurance.
Depending on your experience and interests, there is room to further specialize or to find a combination between office-based underwriting and fieldwork.
What you can expect, among other things:
- You assess and accept risks in accordance with applicable guidelines and policies.
- You carry out on-site risk assessments.
- You act as a technical expert for internal and external parties.
- You further develop and strengthen relationships with brokers.
- You contribute to profitable growth and portfolio optimization.
In addition, Allianz, through its future collaboration with Allianz Commercial, offers ample opportunities to work in an internationally oriented organization. This collaboration opens the door to a worldwide network of clients and partners, giving you the opportunity to work on high-profile projects around the globe.
You will deal with large, international companies and complex risk issues that extend beyond the Dutch borders. This not only offers a unique opportunity to expand your expertise, but also to develop your career within a dynamic, international environment!
Who are you?
You combine a technical interest with a strong sense for risks and insurance. You can work independently, but also easily seek collaboration with colleagues, brokers, and other parties.
In addition:
- You hold at least a bachelor's degree (HBO level).
- You have relevant experience in insurance and/or engineering.
- You possess relevant technical knowledge.
- You hold a WFT Commercial Property & Casualty certification, or are willing to obtain it within one year.
- Experience with applying AI and machine learning to improve business processes and decision-making is a strong plus.
What do we offer you?
At Allianz, you work in an enthusiastic and professional team and are given the space for a healthy work-life balance. Hybrid working is part of the role, and you are offered opportunities to further develop yourself.
In addition, this position offers:
- A competitive salary based on a 38-hour work week.
- 8% holiday allowance.
- A 13th month salary.
- A variable bonus.
- Choice of a lease car or mobility budget.
- Discount on insurance products.
- Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
- Attractive pension scheme.
- Work-from-home allowance.
