Underwriting Governance Specialist #HDCC

Looking to build your career in insurance underwriting? We are seeking candidates with prior experience working with underwriters or a PFC background to support underwriting governance, compliance and portfolio management in a dynamic insurance environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain underwriting policies, procedures and practices in accordance with established group standards.
• Work closely with actuarial, finance and business teams to prepare portfolio reports and monitor business performance.
• Support underwriting governance training and promote compliance with internal standards.
• Administer the Delegated Underwriting Authority (DUA) framework and maintain related agreements.
• Conduct regular reviews to ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines and identify areas for improvement.
• Assist with business planning, strategy development and budgeting in collaboration with product leaders.
• Coordinate with catastrophe modelling teams to monitor and assess risk exposures.
• Ensure timely completion of peer reviews and follow up on identified gaps.
• Review and maintain local underwriting guidelines, ensuring updates are communicated to relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

• Strong organisational, analytical and coordination skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Able to work collaboratively with different teams in a fast-paced environment.
