Hamilton Island is seeking a reliable and detail-focused Uniform Attendant to join our Uniform Services team. Our busy Uniform Room provides essential services across the island, from employee uniforms and alterations to guest laundry, ironing and garment care for weddings and special events. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in presentation and has a passion for delivering exceptional service.

Your Role
As a Uniform Attendant, you'll support the daily operation of the Uniform Room, ensuring employees are provided with well-presented uniforms while delivering professional laundry, sewing and garment care services. You'll assist with alterations, stock management and general administration while maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency and customer service.
Where you’ll make an impact
Issue and receive employee uniforms while maintaining accurate stock records
Perform sewing, alterations and garment repairs as required
Provide laundry, ironing and steam-pressing services for guests, weddings and island outlets
Ensure uniforms meet Hamilton Island's grooming and presentation standards
Maintain a clean, safe and organised Uniform Room, including equipment and stock
Complete daily opening and closing procedures and assist with inventory management
What we’re looking for
You are an organised and reliable professional who takes pride in delivering high-quality garment care and exceptional customer service. You have a keen eye for detail, enjoy working with people and can confidently manage multiple tasks in a busy environment. Your sewing and laundry skills, combined with a positive attitude, will help keep our island team looking their best.
To be successful, you will need:
Previous experience in commercial sewing, garment alterations or repairs (Highly regarded)
Strong laundry, ironing and garment presentation skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and time management abilities
Basic computer skills for stock records and administration
Positive, reliable and team-focused attitude
