Union Interiors Superintendent

We are seeking an experienced Interiors Superintendent and member of the Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters to join our team. The Superintendent will serve as the primary on-site leader for commercial interiors construction projects, overseeing field operations, coordinating trades, maintaining project schedules, and ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality.

This individual will play a hands-on leadership role throughout the construction process and work closely with Project Management, subcontractors, clients, and project stakeholders to successfully deliver high-quality corporate interiors projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all on-site construction activities from project start through completion.
• Manage and coordinate daily field operations for commercial interiors construction projects.
• Develop, maintain, and execute short-term schedules and two-week look-ahead plans.
• Coordinate subcontractors, trades, deliveries, inspections, and project activities to maintain project schedules.
• Serve as the on-site leader for safety and ensure compliance with company, project, and regulatory safety requirements.
• Monitor project quality and proactively identify and resolve field issues.
• Maintain complete and accurate daily reports, including manpower, progress, deliveries, work activities, and project issues.
• Review and understand subcontractor scopes of work and coordinate activities to help prevent scope gaps, conflicts, and unnecessary change orders.
• Identify potential schedule, quality, safety, or coordination issues early and work with the project team to develop timely solutions.
• Coordinate inspections, RFIs, submittals, and quality assurance documentation with the Project Management team.
• Maintain strong communication with Project Managers, subcontractors, clients, and other project stakeholders.
• Lead project closeout activities, including punch list completion, final inspections, and project handoff.
