1. Clinical & Patient Care Oversight

  • Ensure safe, high-quality dialysis treatment in accordance with clinical protocols and standards

  • Supervise dialysis procedures and monitor patient care before, during, and after dialysis

  • Ensure infection control practices and patient safety guidelines are strictly followed

  • Handle patient complaints, concerns, and emergencies promptly and professionally

2. Staff Supervision & Management

  • Supervise dialysis technicians, nurses, and support staff

  • Prepare duty rosters, manage attendance, and ensure adequate staffing

  • Provide on-the-job training, guidance, and performance monitoring of staff

  • Ensure staff adherence to centre policies, SOPs, and ethical standards

3. Operations & Administration

  • Oversee daily operations of the dialysis unit to ensure smooth functioning

  • Maintain patient records, treatment logs, and documentation accurately

  • Coordinate scheduling of dialysis sessions and manage patient flow

  • Prepare and submit daily/monthly reports to management

4. Equipment & Inventory Management

  • Ensure proper functioning and maintenance of dialysis machines and RO systems

  • Coordinate preventive maintenance and breakdown repairs

  • Monitor and manage inventory of consumables, medicines, and supplies

  • Ensure availability of emergency equipment and medications

5. Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with NABH/health authority standards and internal audits

  • Implement quality improvement initiatives within the dialysis unit

  • Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and biomedical waste management as per guidelines

6. Coordination & Communication

  • Coordinate with nephrologists, medical officers, lab, pharmacy, and hospital administration

  • Act as a link between patients, staff, doctors, and management

  • Support patient education regarding dialysis care and compliance

7. Emergency & Risk Management

  • Manage dialysis-related emergencies and ensure emergency protocols are followed

  • Ensure availability and readiness of emergency drugs and equipment

  • Report incidents, near misses, and adverse events appropriately
