About the role

We are seeking switched-on and professional Security Officers to join the security team at a leading Australian university located in Sydney’s CBD. This is a full-time patrolling role, ideal for candidates who enjoy being active on shift and engaging with people in a customer-focused environment.

This role operates on 4 on 4 off roster, offering excellent work–life balance within a professional campus setting.

The position is paid at $29.24 per hour plus superannuation and applicable shift loadings. Shifts will be rostered with a mix of days and nights.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct foot and mobile patrols across campus facilities

• Maintain a visible security presence and provide customer service support

• Respond to incidents, alarms and requests for assistance

• Enforce site policies and safety procedures

• Liaise with students, staff, visitors and contractors

• Complete accurate incident reports and shift documentation

Essential requirements

• Current NSW security licence

• Current First aid and CPR certificate

• Previous experience in a security role

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Professional presentation and customer-focused approach
