Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) University Teacher with a focus on Operations Management (between 0.5 and 1.0 FTE)
Description
Are you an excellent teacher in operations management? Do you have the passion to teach a range of courses in the area of operations management that prepare students for a successful career? Do you like to develop education, with a focus on cases that show students the practical relevance of the content?
Information
We are looking for a University Teacher for the Operations, Planning, Accounting and Control (OPAC) group (between 0.5 and 1.0 FTE). The OPAC group is part of Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e)’s Industrial Engineering and Innovation Sciences Department, which has a worldwide reputation for high-quality research and excellent educational programs. The OPAC group helps stakeholders across sectors to make smart, informed decisions, thereby contributing to more efficiency, enhanced (environmental) sustainability, better use of resources and reduced costs. The research of the group deals with the control of operational processes, which can be related to supply chains, manufacturing systems, high-tech equipment, distribution, transportation, warehousing, retail, and service processes such as equipment maintenance.
You will design and teach courses in the areas of operations management. You are especially interested in designing realistic cases that can be used in the courses and that show students the practical relevance of the things they learn. Courses are mainly to be taught in the Bachelor programs Industrial Engineering and the Master programs Operations Management and Logistics. Also students from other programs at TU/e, mostly Bachelor programs, may decide to follow these courses. You will also be involved in supervising bachelor end-projects and potentially guiding master thesis projects.
