Summary

Maintains and secures RHEL servers, deploys OpenShift clusters, and automates provisioning with Red Hat Satellite and Ansible for a SaaS provider.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain RHEL systems across development, testing, and production environments
• Design, implement, and support OpenShift container platforms
• Administer and troubleshoot JBoss application servers
• Utilise Red Hat Satellite for system provisioning, patching, and configuration management
• Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards
• Perform system upgrades, patches, and maintenance tasks
• Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations and processes
• Collaborate with development teams to support application deployment and operations
• Participate in on-call rotations for critical system support

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in Unix/Linux administration, with a focus on RHEL system administration and troubleshooting
• Experience in supporting Messaging Queue platforms (e.g. IBM MQ, Active MQ, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of OpenShift container platform administration
• Proficiency in using Red Hat Satellite for system management
• Proficiency in shell scripting (Bash) and at least one programming language (e.g., Python)
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols
• Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet)
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging solutions (e.g., Zabbix, ELK stack)
