UNIX & Infrastructure Engineer, Senior

Key responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • Administer, maintain, and support enterprise UNIX/Linux server environments to ensure high system availability and performance.
  • Manage and support enterprise infrastructure comprising servers, storage, virtualization, backup, and cloud platforms.
  • Perform infrastructure provisioning, configuration, patch management, system upgrades, and lifecycle management.
  • Manage enterprise storage infrastructure such as SAN, NAS, Fibre Channel, iSCSI, and storage virtualization technologies.
  • Support NetApp, EMC, Hitachi, or other enterprise storage platforms for provisioning, replication, backup, disaster recovery, and capacity management.
  • Plan and execute infrastructure migration, system upgrades, hardware refreshes, and data center migration projects.
  • Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, capacity planning, and proactive health checks across infrastructure environments.
  • Troubleshoot complex infrastructure incidents involving UNIX/Linux servers, storage, virtualization, networking, and cloud services.
  • Support VMware virtualization platforms and collaborate with server, network, database, and application teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Administer hybrid cloud infrastructure, such as Azure NetApp Files, Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP, Cloud Volumes ONTAP, and cloud storage services.
  • Develop and maintain operational documentation, standard operating procedures, architecture diagrams, disaster recovery plans, and technical runbooks.
  • Participate in change management, maintenance activities, and production support following ITIL best practices.

Job Requirement

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in UNIX/Linux system administration and enterprise infrastructure support.
  • Strong knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating systems, enterprise server administration, and infrastructure operations.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise storage technologies such as NetApp, EMC, Hitachi, SAN/NAS, Fibre Channel, and iSCSI.
  • Experience supporting VMware virtualization environments.
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and hybrid cloud technologies, such asMicrosoft Azure and AWS.
  • Experience with storage replication, disaster recovery, backup solutions, and business continuity planning.
  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills for enterprise infrastructure environments.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes, change management, incident management, and service operations.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
