Unreal Engine Game Developer and System Architect
In this role you will work full time and remotely as a fundamental part of our small team at the forefront of online sailing simulation. You will be taking care to improve the online experience of AC Sailing, opening the door to new markets by investigating new platforms and ensuring the accessibility and continued (post-release) stability of the game.
The Game
AC Sailing brings the world's oldest sailing competition, the America's Cup, to life like never before. Players take the helm of the cutting-edge AC40 yacht in a world-class simulation, battle-tested in a competitive eSports arena in 2024 during the inaugural America’s cup eSeries. As the America's Cup keeps evolving, we're pushing AC Sailing forward too, building fresh gameplay mechanics that hook a new audience on the thrill of the America’s Cup and introduce sailing to a whole new generation of gamers.
We are looking for someone with experience in all or some of the following areas:
• Designing and maintaining stable game server and database services
• C++ and Javascript programming
• Porting/Publishing for game consoles
• Designing features that enhance gameplay and user experience
• Integrating and testing new features within an established codebase
• Profiling performance bottlenecks across Memory, GPU, and the CPU
• Configuring and maintaining input devices
• Reviewing code and project management

About this position & how to apply
This is a contract position for the current America's Cup campaign, working remotely with a small, passionate team. The role is full-time for the roughly 11-month build, with the potential to continue into the next campaign.
